She started her career on screen. As Georgina Bouzova she was a BBC actress and a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing. Later she worked in publishing, then made yoga wear. She had never been the sporty one.

Padel changed that. The sport was growing fast in the UK, but the clubs, the kit and the conversation felt male-led. She was a beginner, and nothing she could buy to play in felt like her. So she made it.

For anyone who felt like an outsider on court

She launched Padelhüd from Richmond, London, in June 2025, to make the sport feel open to women and to everyone else who didn't feel they belonged there.

The angel wings in the logo are personal. They stand for the people who held her up at the hardest moments of her life.

What we wear against our skin

Then came a year of cancer treatment. It changed how she thought about everything, including what she put next to her skin. She started reading labels, and found most of what she played in was plastic.

So the clothes changed too. The Hüd's new fabrics are plant-based performance fabrics, mostly cotton and Tencel, developed with our factory to be soft, made to stay in all day and to move the way you do on court. Where a piece needs stretch, we add a little elastane and show the exact mix on every label. Hüd means skin in Swedish.

From Padelhüd to The Hüd

It started on court. Then it followed her to Pilates, the school run, the café afterwards and weekends away. In 2026 Padelhüd became The Hüd, a wider playwear and lifestyle brand.

Clothes were only half of it. The Hüd is also the friend who knows where to go. The club where beginners are welcome. The class with a good sauna afterwards. The hotel with courts and a spa. The Sunday social where nobody's keeping score.

Its first book, The Game of Padel, began while she recovered. It's for the friend who has just been invited to play and has no idea what the glass walls are for.

The point was never winning. It was playing: for the joy of it, at any age and any level, with the people you love. That's The Hüd.
